Prioria Robotics Maveric : ウィキペディア英語版 | Prioria Robotics Maveric
The Prioria Robotic's Maveric is a single-man portable and operable, immediate launch capable, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) designed as a high-performance, next-generation platform for small and miniature UAV operations. Maveric’s bendable wings allow for the ability to store a fully assembled airframe in a tube. The Maverick is expensive for a mini UAV, priced at approximately $500,000.00 individually, however reduced pricing as low as $130,000.00 is possible in large order quantities. 〔http://mobile.news.com.au/technology/us-army-buys-small-hawkshaped-maverick-drone-to-wing-its-way-into-secret-spots/story-e6frfrnr-1226771152950〕 ==Design== Maveric can be deployed immediately with no assembly, and with a dash speed of , it delivers a rapid, “eyes on-target and tracking” performance. Cursor on target (CoT) compliant capabilities provide a point-and-click feature for operators to acquire and follow a target, while the unique power distribution board allows Maveric to also fly “stealthy” by not emitting camera RF until the operator decides. Designed as the first smart, customizable SUAS, Maveric utilizes Prioria’s proprietary processing platform, Merlin, to enable image processing and vision-based control to be performed on board and aims to reduce reliance on ground station communication. This unique airframe design combined with the Merlin “brain” gives Maveric the ability to operate and execute missions more effectively and surgically in more complex environments. In October 2015, a lawsuit was filed against the company, claiming it misrepresented specs for the drone and sold refurbished aircraft as new models. Allegations from former employees and consultants say Prioria knowingly fudged specifications and sold the Maveric with critical design flaws, using technology that could be matched or surpassed by commercial hobby drones costing only $5,000, while a Maveric system cost $240,000. The aircraft could not exceed an endurance of one hour if equipped with more than a basic EO camera, and when landing on hard surfaces the camera would be rendered inoperable with the airframe suffering structural damage. When Prioria secured a contract to provide the Maveric to AFRICOM, used products were delivered with downgraded cameras and gimbals producing very "jittery" video that were so bad they were deemed unusable in the field; the Maverics delivered for use were different from ones demonstrated prior to purchase.〔(Military drone manufacturer accused of "pattern of misconduct" ) - Muckrock.com, 28 October 2015〕
